The circumpunct dot, central to this design, represents gold. It is also an ancient Egyptiean hieroglyph for the sun. Because much of their art was religious, the ancient Egyptians used colour symbolically to convey messages. The dark blue colour lapis lazuli, a semi-precious stone, represented joy.  Gold represented the deity of the sun. Or Égyptien contains top notes of cassis and grapefruit with middle notes of plum, rosebuds, geranium and jasmine.  The base contains ancient sandalwood, musk and caramel.
